What is Dungeon Alchemist?

Dungeon Alchemist is a map generation tool for tabletop RPGs that enables users to create high-quality fantasy and dungeon maps in seconds through an AI-assisted interface. Developed by Wim De Hert and Karel Crombecq under Briganti BV in Belgium, the application automates much of the tedious work in map design while retaining full creative control.

The workflow begins with selecting a print size and theme, then drawing room layouts. The AI automatically populates drawn rooms with doors, walls, lighting, furniture, and environmental objects in real time. Users can customize any element afterward—adding, moving, scaling, or removing thousands of available objects from the library including doors, windows, walls, and decorative features. The tool includes terrain generation tools for creating forests, islands, and other landscapes. Maps support three viewing modes: orthographic, perspective, and full 3D visualization to assess design from different angles. Once complete, maps export directly to popular virtual tabletops (VTTs) with walls, lights, and doors imported automatically.
